Jenny Monbouquette is a fine art advisor specializing in contemporary art.  With over 20 years of work experience, a partial listing of her current and prior clients includes Bank of America, The Hartford, Swiss Re Capital Partners, Causeway Capital, Cedars-Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Center, Thomas Properties Group, Jones Day, Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy (Milbank), Southern California Gas Company/Sempra Energy, and numerous individual collectors.  In 2007 Ms. Monbouquette was honored with a Calibre Team Award for her role in the creation of the Jones Day lobby and conferencing center and successful multi-floor restack. More recently she worked with Milbank to re-curate their existing collection and to acquire additional works to augment the art collection housed in their newly renovated offices in Los Angeles.  The Milbank collection currently totals over 350 pieces and is noted for showcasing emerging and established California artists.

Prior to starting an independent art consulting business, Ms. Monbouquette was Curator of the Bank of America Corporate Collection in Southern California and oversaw the conservation, installation and acquisition for the Bank’s 100-million-dollar collection. She continues to manage the Bank of America Art Collection in Southern California as an outside consultant.

Previously, Ms. Monbouquette worked for Security Pacific Corporation (SPC) in the Cultural Affairs Department as an Assistant Curator.  In this role, she developed and implemented several art education programs for employees including an art rental program, a rotating exhibition space, and conducted tours of the collection for both employees and the public.  In 1992, upon the Security Pacific/Bank of America merger, Ms. Monbouquette facilitated the integration of the SPC 12,000 piece art collection into that of Bank of America.

Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Ms. Monbouquette was a Curatorial Assistant at the North Carolina Museum of Art.  Upon her arrival in Los Angeles in 1988, she worked at both commercial art galleries and non-profit art organizations.

A native Californian, Ms. Monbouquette earned a Bachelor of Arts in History of Art from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Arts in History of Art from the University of California at Davis.  Her professional associations include ArtTable, a professional association for women in the visual arts.  For several years, she led docent tours at the Venice Artwalk, a local fundraiser for the largest non-profit clinic in the United States.  Ms. Monbouquette also donates her time coordinating art installations for various schools and hospitals.

Awards

2007 Recipient of IIDA Calibre Team Award for Office Space Over 80,000 sq. feet.  The art for the award-winning Jones Day project is featured throughout the conference floor with major works commissioned for the two-story stairwell, reception area and walkways.
